How I Cultivate my Creativity

“To live as an artist is a way of being in the world. A way of perceiving. A practice of paying attention.”

Rick Rubin, The Creative Act: A Way of Being

Inspiration

Creativity is not something that appears instantly for me. It is something I continuously nurture through the things I consume, experience, and create in everyday life. I believe inspiration can be found almost anywhere when you allow yourself to slow down and truly observe the world around you.

Collecting

One of the ways I stay inspired is by constantly collecting visual references and ideas. Whether it is fashion editorials, music videos, photography, films, websites, or vintage objects I find while thrifting, I enjoy surrounding myself with things that spark emotion or curiosity. Even small details like colors, textures, or sounds can inspire future projects.

Experimenting

I also cultivate creativity through experimentation. I enjoy trying new artistic mediums and allowing myself to create freely without worrying too much about perfection. Sometimes my best ideas come from simply playing around, making mistakes, or combining unexpected elements together.

Staying Open-Minded

I think creativity grows strongest when you remain open-minded and curious. I try to approach life with a willingness to learn, explore, and notice beauty in ordinary moments. For me, cultivating creativity is not only about making art, but about creating a lifestyle that encourages inspiration every day.

Your path becomes clearer the more you create.
